CHURCH RECORDERS PRESENTATION AT ST MARY AND ST PETER, BARHAM
Sunday 08 September 2019

On Sunday 8th September, Church Recorders, consisting of members from Ipswich, Woodbridge & Orwell Societies, their supporters and other members of the congregation were present at the 10am Eucharist service at Barham when the Rector, Carl Melville, was presented with the completed Church Record.   The Rector received this on behalf of the Church and replaced his sermon with an appreciation of the hard work of the volunteers involved during the three years it has taken to complete this detailed inventory of the fabric and furnishings within the Church.

After the service, over coffee and cake, people were able to inspect the three volumes of the Record and to ask questions of some of the very hard working Church Recorders.

Church Recording is a mystery to most of us but is a fascinating subject and if you would like to know a little more about it, please use the Contact Us tab on the menu and we will be in touch.

Please rest assured that asking for more information does not mean you have actually committed yourself to volunteering!
